The Denard Robinson Show

Prediction: Michigan defense will determine tomorrow's outcome.

Denard has been pretty consistent and dominant this season thus far. His play has created many highlight reels on ESPN, and people are raving about the Michigan football team is a one-man show. I have to say that this is an incorrect assertion. Denard's offensive production is a product of both his own talent, and his supporting cast (Offensive line, WR, etc.) The offensive line creates blocks the defense, and creates holes for Denard to burst through. The WR, RB must be a credible threat, so that they keep the secondary defense occupied, thus giving Denard more room to run in. If this were untrue, the coach would have inserted Denard more often last year.

Conversely, the defense is ranked somewhere around 100 in the nation. I think we might actually be in last place for pass defense. Yet we are still 5-0. Imagine how much better we'd be if we could make a few more defensive stops. If the defense plays big tomorrow, I don't see much likelihood of us losing.
